Can I be denied loan based on CIBIL score?

Banks are extensively relying on CIBIL score and report to make lending decision to loan applicants. If your credit score is poor (less than 750 is considered bad by most lenders) then a bank might not want to extend a loan to you or if at all, it may offer at a high interest rate. If a bank rejects your loan application for low CIBIL score you can ask the bank for your CIBIL score and work towards improving your credit scores. Meanwhile you can try approaching another lender or if possible avoid borrowing altogether and systematically build your corpus in time!
